Shows, Shows and more Shows! (Pyecombe, Addington & Arena UK)

We have been exceedingly busy over the last month. We started the beginning of July at a 4 day show at Pyecombe where all 4 riders had success in the ring. With a total of 32 horses stabled it was a busy weekend but despite running around all our young horses manage to qualify their finals which took place on the final day of the show. Two of our 4 year olds were double clear in their finals, and 2 of our 5 years olds were also double clear. In the 6 year olds age group it was Davinci VD Bosrand and Roger who stood out from the rest. They qualified for the final of the show which was held on the final day which they finished in 5th position however the day before he had jumped triple clear and equal 1st in the 6 year old qualifier for the National Championships held at Stoneleigh. Davinci's success did no stop there, the pair competed in the Newcomer Second Round at Addington Manor on the following Friday, were the horse jumped yet again unbelievable. He finish in the lucky but unlucky position of 3rd, missing out by one place for the Horse Of The Year Show ticket however he qualified again for the National Championship, where he will have another attempt to secure an appearance at HOYS. Davinci was one of 3 triple clears in the class and the highest placed 6 year old. Finally we made the journey to Arena UK last weekend with 22 horses. Quite A Flower and Ashley had a fantastic 2nd in the 1.20m class the first day and the run of success continued throughout the show despite the large numbers in the classes. The 8 year old stallion, Care For that Roger McCrea produced from a 4 year old is now having a great run under the ride of Ashley. The pair have been high in the placings the last 4 times in the ring finishing in 6th position in the 1.20m class on Friday with over 80 other competitors completing in the class. Now a few of the horses will have a couple of weeks holiday and the rest will head to Cherwell Competition Centre this weekend for 3 days jumping.
